Wilson Students Advance to State!!!!!

Selected art students from Wilson Elementary School displayed their artwork at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI as part of the Wisconsin Art Education Association’s Regional Art Show.


Art Teacher Brian Sommersberger was able to select 5 works of art to represent Wilson Elementary School and have 3 pieces of artwork advance to the Youth Art Month Celebration at the Wisconsin State Capitol.

Students who participated in the Regional show include Aiden McFarlane, Ocean Yang, Ryker Vandersande, Isabella Gile and Madison Lukaszewski. Ryker Vandersande received the Monet Award for “best use of color” at the regional exhibition.

Aiden McFarlane, Ryker Vandersande and Isabella Gile were chosen to have their artwork advance to the State Capitol exhibition opening March 18th-31st. The public is welcome to attend the Youth Art Month Closing Ceremony at the Wisconsin State Capitol on Friday, March 31st 12:00-2:00p.m.
